Students hard at work in Nairobi
After the Lothagam field season, three lab members spent several weeks at the Nairobi National Museum working in the collections. Christianne Ormsby generated dozens of 3D surface scans of hominin and mammal fossils from the Lothagam collections for ongoing analyses. Eve Omondi worked in the archives to track down old field notes and maps from previous field work campaigns by the Harvard, Princeton, and Koobi Fora Research Project teams. Linet Sankau sampled primate and herbivore teeth for stable isotope analyses, building on her MSc thesis work.
